The Court of Accounts Releases its 2024 Finance Bill Execution Report
Pursuant to the provisions of Articles 147 and 148 of the Constitution, the Court of Accounts is tasked with ensuring the supreme oversight of the execution of finance bills. It assists Parliament in the areas of public finance oversight and responds to questions and consultations related to the legislative, oversight and evaluation functions exercised by Parliament with respective to public finance.
Similarly, Article 66 of Organic Law No. 130-13 on the finance bills sets out that the draft settlement law must be accompanied by a report from the Court of Accounts on the execution of the Finance Bill, as well as a general declaration of conformity between the individual accounts of the accounting officers and the Kingdom’s general account.
In this context, the Court of Accounts has produced a report on the execution of the Finance Bill for 2024 and has communicated it to Parliament. A copy has been transmitted to the Head of Government and the Minister of Economy and Finance, in accordance with the aforementioned Article 66.
