Discussion Forum with Mr. Mohammed Benchaaboun, Chief Executive Officer of Maroc Telecom

As part of “Financial Jurisdiction Fridays” conference series, the Court of Accounts organized, on July 18, 2025, a discussion forum with Mr. Mohammed Benchaaboun, Chief Executive Officer of Maroc Telecom.

During this meeting, Mr. Benchaaboun delivered a presentation on governance in the public sector, in which he underscored the importance of fostering synergy between public and private sectors. Such synergy, he noted, enables pooling of each sector’s strengths to serve the public interest. He further highlighted that this complementarity is instrumental to bolster public sector performance and improve investment climate attractiveness.

The meeting served also as a platform for exchange with financial jurisdiction judges and senior officials on key issues such as the viability of public finances, promoting investments, and the evolving landscape of the telecommunications sector in Morocco, notably in anticipation of the rollout of 5G network and the development of digital services and infrastructure it will enable in our country.
