The Court of Accounts takes part in the Governing Board and General Assembly Meetings of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI)

The Court of Accounts of the Kingdom of Morocco participated in the 69th and 70th sessions of the Governing Board and the 15th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), hosted by the General Court of Audit of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah from November 30 to December 4, 2025.

These sessions resulted in the election of the Court of Accounts as Second Deputy Chair of the Governing Board for the 2025–2028 term, the approval of its hosting of the 16th General Assembly in 2028, thereby positioning it to assume the presidency of the organization in the subsequent mandate. This election reflects the high level of confidence in the Court within the organization and acknowledges its leadership role as well as its contributions to advancing the Arab auditing framework. During the meetings, the Court’s membership in the Strategic Planning and Development Committee was also ratified, alongside the renewal of its membership in the Capacity Building Committee and the Information Technology Working Group.

The agendas of both the Governing Board and General Assembly included the review of reports from main and subcommittees of the organization for 2025 and the initial phase of the implementation of the 2023–2028 strategic plan, which highlighted the progress achieved and ongoing initiatives aimed at meeting both the overall and specific priorities of the plan. The meetings also approved the triennial plans of the committees and the financial program for 2026–2028, along with amendments to certain provisions of the organization’s Statutes to adopt a new operational structure, thereby modernizing the functioning of committees and working groups and enhancing the effectiveness and impact of their projects and activities.

On the sidelines of the General Assembly, a technical symposium on “Experiences of Supreme Audit Institutions in Capacity Building” was organized. During this symposium, the Court of Accounts shared its experience in building organizational and professional capacities, particularly in bolstering the skills of its human resources in line with international standards and emerging requirements in the audit environment. The Court also participated in a coordination meeting bringing together members of the ARABOSAI subregional organization, aiming to set in motion collaborative initiatives to build capacities and professional skills.

In its capacity as Secretary-General of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI), the Court of Accounts also attended the General Assembly as an observer and held meetings with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and the English-speaking subregional AFROSAI organization to discuss ways to enhance AFROSAI’s performance. Parallel activities included a ceremony honoring participants in the “Arab Chartered Auditor Fellowship” Training Program, supervised by the General Auditing Bureau of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Notably, the Court of Accounts celebrated the graduation of two of its members who successfully completed the program and received their fellowship certificates, reflecting the Court’s commitment to promoting professional excellence and fostering audit expertise.
